Well Hello Everyone!!!
Okay, things are heating up and we are now officially in a competition with another local Foursquare College Age group over who can raise the most money for Steps For Life. So here is the deal, lunch after the event is on the line. The loser of this competition will be buying the other group lunch right after the march dowtown so we really have to get in gear on this!
Remember that Steps For Life is a great organization that is giving pregnant women and girls options outside of abortion. Look here for more details on what is happening and how we are doing!
God bless you all!

This Week's College Age Recap
Well,
Another week has gone by and it was a great time with you all! We will have been missing some of you so please make it a priority to be here on Sunday nights as it just is not the same without you! We finished up our teaching on Prayer this last week and there was some great interaction on this topic. You can look at the notes from the teaching by following this link:
Prayer Series 3 - Does Prayer Work
We discussed a few of the upcoming events that we are planning for College Age so keep looking to your email for what is happening next. Remember that this month we will be helping the Penberthy's with a yard project and that we are hoping to put together a team for Steps for Life this year. That will happen in May so keep it in the back of your minds!
Well that is it for now, God bless and have a wonderful week. We love you all and are here for you. Send us an email or call if you have any needs!

This Week's College Age Recap
Hola!
Well tonight was a smaller group, but it was a great evening nonetheless. We hope that those of you who missed tonight are doing well and hopefully you will be back next week for our fun and fellowship.
Remember that we are going to Glowing Greens and the cost is $15/person. Afterwards we will probably do the coffee shop thing so bring some extra cash for that too. If money is an issue then let us know and we will work out some sponsorships!
Look for more details in your email inbox and on this blog too! Love you all, the lesson from tonight is posted below with all of my notes and scriptures. Make it a priority to be here next week. God bless you all!

Lincoln Heights Cleanup Recap
Hey Everyone!!!
Wow, you all are amazing! We were able to get a large area of this neighborhood cleaned up and I am glad that we were able to bless our community through this outreach. Overall there was over 40 of us total and I believe that we were represented well. A special thanks to Neil Robbins for supplying the meat for the BBQ, Chris Martin for assisting in the BBQ, and of course my wife who worked tirelessly to provide all the food and preparations. Without Dawn's help I would be lost and I thank God for her support.
I know that this neighborhood witnessed our church truly living out our faith and it was a great encouragement for me to see it as well. I want to thank you all sincerely for all that you did! I am certain that we have made a lasting impression on those that we served. Enjoy this little slide show we put together and have a blessed week!
Remember that we are here to serve and not be served!!!

Ministry Opportunity - We Need Your Help!!!
Hey Everyone!!!
Alright, we need some major help this coming Saturday for our cleanup effort of Lincoln Heights. This is a tremendous opportunity for us to show our community that we really do care about them.
Here are the details:
When: March 21st, 2009
Time: 12PM-4PM
Where: Lincoln Heights Neighborhood
What Are We Doing: Cleaning up the neighborhood from construction debris
What You Need To Bring: Gloves
Afterwards we are going to BBQ and invite the neighbors to join in with us too, so lets make this a huge success for the community. The City of Happy Valley is helping us out with cleaning tools and hopefully a dumpster. Some of the food is being donated and that was a blessing from the Lord as well.
Okay, with that, please RSVP here and let us know if you will be able to make it!
For those that are not aware of where we live I have taken the liberty of posting a map of our area and the neighborhood that we will be taking care of:
Entrance To Neighborhood
Remember that we are here to serve and not be served!!!
God bless and love you all!

A Format Change
Okay,
Well here it is, I have had so little time to actually blog on my reading that I am feeling guilty about not posting everyday so I am changing all things around a bit. This will officially be our College Age site that allows people to see what is happening and what we are doing. I will also continue to post recaps of the things that we are teaching on, but since I was the only one posting anything here it doesn't seem worthwhile to feel guilty about keeping the daily blogging up. I will from time to time post the things that really call out to me as I continue to do my daily reading. In 254 days I have only missed one day of reading which I caught up on the next day. I am committed to my reading through the Bible in one year and have been excited by what God is teaching me.
I hope that you all understand the reasons behind this.
So with that, the new College Age blog emerges. This will strictly be a blog where we discuss the things that we are doing and what is going on/coming up. God bless you all and thank you to those that still check in here.

This Weeks College Age Recap
Hey Everyone!
Well it was great being back in the Golobay house for College Age and it is crazy to think about this but it was our first time meeting back here since the new year. True we were here last week for Super Bowl, but that is different than what we had tonight!
Tonight was great! There were some new faces, some old familiar ones, and then the ever faithful ones, which made for a great time. Tonight we spoke on Trusting In God and you can find the notes from this evening's teachings by going here:
Trusting In God
There was a great time of discussion that followed and it was great to hear everyone's input on why there is suffering of Christians and good people despite their trusting in God. It was great to see you all engaging and I really enjoyed hearing what you all had to share on the matter.
Aside from that we prayed for many of you that were struggling with trusting God and I am certain that if we all trust in God as we should then amazing things are going to happen. Remember that we are supposed to trust in Him no matter what we are facing. Our God is good and He is faithful to us at all times.
In all it was a great first week back and I am thankful to have been back home! God bless you all this week. Remember that Dawn and I are both here for you and we love you dearly. Please do not hesitate to call us or email us! Peace out!
